Trouw opinion piece: All Dutch citizens are equal, or are they?

The recent violent incidents in Amsterdam have prompted the Dutch government to examine whether it would be possible to take away one’s Dutch citizenship because of anti-Semitism or other forms of discrimination.

As a law firm specializing in migration and nationality law, people ask us whether this is possible. But even more important than the question of whether it is possible is whether this is something we should want. Do we really want to expand the possibilities of revoking a Dutch passport?

On November 21, our colleagues Elles Besselsen, Leonie Haenen and Hermie de Voer wrote an opinion piece on this topic in Trouw. Read their response here (Dutch only).
